Building a micro-resort on the Oregon Coast, in public

A personal dream under Golden Thread Hospitality: a small, design-led stay on the Oregon Coast. I am documenting the build in the open and looking for leads.

Building a micro-resort on the Oregon Coast, in public
TL;DR
  • I am building a micro-resort on the Oregon Coast under Golden Thread Hospitality.
  • Same obsession as my CX work: make people feel thought about.
  • I am looking for land leads, partners, and people who like a slightly mad idea.
  • Following along quietly counts too.

I keep a plastic bear on my desk that I cast in bronze, to remind me that small overlooked things deserve weight. A micro-resort is that idea at full size.

Under Golden Thread Hospitality, I want to build a small, design-led stay on the Oregon Coast that treats guests the way good customer experience treats customers. A place that feels made for you.

Why build it in public?

Because I would rather share the messy middle than a polished reveal. Building in the open keeps me honest, invites better ideas, and lets the right people find me early.

What I am looking for

Where it is right now

Early. I am scouting coastline, sketching the footprint, and writing things down as I go. If any of this tugs at you, a lead or a hello goes a long way. This one is a slow build, on purpose.

Good questions

What is Golden Thread Hospitality?

It is the hospitality side of my work: a plan for a small, design-led micro-resort on the Oregon Coast, being built and documented in public.

What kind of leads are you looking for?

Coastal land or property leads, potential partners and investors, and people in design and build who love a small, characterful project.
